Yakutia airlines and RAPP meeting

 

The Yakutia airline discussed questions of cooperation in air transportation within the upcoming 22nd annual "The Russian-American Pacific Partnership" (RAPP) meeting which will take place in Yakutsk on July 19-20, 2017. The president of the organization, Derek Norberg met the first deputy of Yakutia airline Ilya Ponomarev. During the meeting parties reached mutual consent concerning the organization of forum guest’s air carriage.

Flights on route Yakutsk - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Anchorage (Alaska) are renewed in the summer schedule of the Yakutia airline. Development of air traffic between Yakutia and the Western coast of the USA is directly connected with aircraft seats occupancy rate in flights which also turn in promoting of tourism in the Far East including Yakutia.

8 states of America and 11 subjects of Russian Federation among which: Primorsky Krai, the Amur region, the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and others will take part in this year forum. By the way, the annual forum is held serially in two countries. Two years ago the RAPP meeting took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok in 2013 and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky  in 2011.
